The Best of Bit-tech 2009

On the site we always try to maintain a professional tone that's both entertaining and educating, but that doesn’t always hold up when we get to writing on the forums or the blogs! This past year has seen plenty of interesting posts from the entire staff, plus some new and on-going forum threads that are definitely worth a look.

Podcasts had long been a feature on the old Custom PC website (RIP), so when the two publications were joined it only made sense to continue that tradition. We haven’t included the podcasts in this round-up, but you can check out the Podcast Channel for a full list easily enough now that we've slipped into a weekly schedule of alternating hardware and games podcasts. We've even got all the old Custom PC podcasts hosted on the site too!

The Blogs section was one of the new additions to the site this year and has been incorporated into the site very well. There's a surprising amount of content in it despite the not-too-long-ago launch. We'll keep posting all sorts of bits and bobs next year, with the unofficial competition between staff to see who can write the most posts set to continue too [whoever could be winning at the moment, Joe? - Ed].

It's not just the blogs which have seen plenty of updates in the last year though - each of us at bit-tech and Custom PC is an active member of the forums. Especially the Demotivational Posters thread (NSFW). If you've ever have something you want to bring to our attention, then the forums are a great place to do it - but for now all we have to say to you is Merry Christmas, and we hope next year will be as busy as this one has been!
